Frequently asked questions

Yes! Pearson VUE has testing centers in Manila and Cebu, so you don’t need to travel abroad to sit for the exam. You’ll apply through your target US state board and receive an ATT (Authorization to Test) before booking.

It depends on the US state you’re applying to. Some states require CGFNS CES (Credential Evaluation Service) for Filipino nurses, while others don’t. Always check the specific requirements of your chosen state board of nursing.

Most Filipino nurses take 3–6 months to prepare. The NCLEX-RN now uses Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) format, which focuses on clinical judgment — so smart, focused review beats marathon cramming every time.

Your PRC license confirms you’re a licensed nurse in the Philippines, but it doesn’t automatically qualify you for NCLEX. You still need to apply through a US state board, submit transcripts, and meet that state’s specific education requirements.

Filipino nurses consistently show strong pass rates on the NCLEX-RN. Choosing an accredited review center, using updated NGN-aligned materials, and practicing time management are key factors that boost success significantly.
